Rare Bottle of Scotch Whisky To Be Auctioned in Support of the NFRSA

A one-off bottle of Scotch Whisky will be going under the hammer at Christie’s next month at the launch of The National Foundation for Retired Service Animals (NFRSA), a new charitable organisation set up to promote the well-being and welfare of retired service animals from across the emergency service family, namely that of the police, fire, and prison services.

The main aims of the NFRSA are to alleviate the financial pressure on the owners and handlers of retired service animals across the country, by helping with ongoing vet bills and care. Insurance is unavailable for these brave working animals upon retirement and the NFRSA will ensure that they stay with their families, instead of having to be rehomed due to high vet bills that inevitably arrive in the animal’s twilight years.

The whisky being offered is a unique single malt, distilled in 1991 at Dalmore distillery & bottled for the launch event by Glasgow-based independent bottler Brave New Spirits. Drawn from a single bourbon cask, the whisky offers floral & fruity aromas, with flavours of citrus and ripe apple.

The auction will take place on Sept 21st at Christie’s in St. James, London, where the NFRSA will be celebrating their National Launch at a glittering evening reception.
