Return of the Heroes: Batch 2 Launches

Following the success of our first WhiskyHeroes series, we're pleased to introduce our second batch. This new series continues our journey with a carefully selected range of single malt and single grain whiskies from various regions and renowned distilleries, including Tamdhu, Glendullan, Inchgower, and North British. Each bottle carries an age statement and has been carefully matured or finished in Bourbon or a range of Sherry barrels, such as PX, Palo Cortado, and Oloroso, delivering a diverse array of classic Scotch whisky flavour profiles.

The new WhiskyHeroes batch also includes two exclusive bottlings for the UK and two for Germany. This is our first time offering market-exclusive releases in the UK, and we’re excited to expand this approach with more market-specific releases in the future, tailoring it to meet the unique tastes of our customers in different regions. Let’s have a closer look at our twelve new bottlings and the story each of them have to tell:

“Rise of the Ardphroaig Mutant". This 10 Year Old Single Malt from Ardmore Distillery was finished in 2nd fill Laphroaig Barrels, creating a unique fusion of Ardmore's smoky Highland character and Laphroaig's bold Islay peat. At 55.9% abv and limited to 490 bottles, this whisky is a fusion of influences with the strength of an eagle and the boldness of Laphroaig, rising with a unique complexity born of two legendary distilleries.

"Gathering on the Seven Hills" - a 15 Year Old Single Malt from the Glendullan distillery in Dufftown, famously known as the town built on "seven stills". After its initial maturation, it was finished in a 1st fill Amontillado Sherry Hogshead. Bottled at 55.1% abv and limited to just 282 bottles, it masterfully blends rich, nutty sherry notes with classic Speyside elegance.

"Blazing Mystery”,  a 13 Year Old Single Grain Whisky from Edinburgh's North British Distillery. Finished in an Islay Hogshead, this unique expression offers a bold and smoky character with a robust 58.6% abv. Limited to just 332 bottles, "Blazing Mystery" captures the spirit of both Islay’s rugged power and Edinburgh’s mysterious charm.

“The Relic of the Shore", this 12 Year Old Single Malt from Inchgower Distillery, known for its coastal style, was finished in a 1st fill PX Sherry Barrique, enhancing its rich, complex flavours. Bottled at 51.2% abv and limited to just 332 bottles, "The Relic of the Shore"  whisky reflects the spirit of the seaside, where relics tell the tale of time and tides.

“The Lure of the Sirens” is a 17 Year Old Tamdhu Single Malt, matured in a 1st fill Sherry Quarter Cask and bottled at 50.1% abv. With its evocative imagery of sirens beckoning from beneath the waves, this whisky invites you to explore its rich, sherry-soaked depths. It is a single-cask release with only 282 bottles available.

"Agent Ivy Chronicles in Cadiz" is a 12 Year Old Single Malt from Blair Athol Distillery. Finished in a 1st fill Palo Cortado Sherry Cask, it delivers deep flavours of fruits and spices at 55.9% abv. Limited to 358 bottles, it invites you to imagine Agent Ivy’s thrilling ride through Cadiz through sunlit streets and the vibrant allure of Andalusia.

UK EXCLUSIVE BOTTLINGS

“Echoes from Below” - a 10 Year Old Loch Lomond Whisky, finished in a 1st fill PX Sherry Quarter Cask, dives deep into sherry rich flavours. It was bottled at a robust 55.5% abv. And is an exclusive run of 163 bottles. This release carries the spirit of the deep with an intense character that lurks within each drop of this unique and limited dram.

“Peatfire Paladin” is a limited release of only 45 bottles. It’s a 12 Year Old Single Malt from Caol Ila Distillery, finished in a 1st fill PX Sherry Octave and bottled at 53.6% abv. The label features a Paladin engulfed in smoky surroundings, which captures the essence of Islay's peated spirit and reflects the bold character of this unique whisky.

GERMANY EXCLUSIVE BOTTLINGS

“A Looming Threat!” This 11 Year Old Benrinnes, finished in a 1st fill Palo Cortado Sherry Quarter ask and bottled at a robust 56.8% abv with a scarce edition of 173 bottles. Its bold, complex flavours are set to make a striking impression and offer a unique tasting adventure.

"Captain Burnside” is a 13 Year Old Blended Malt, finished in a 1st fill Oloroso Sherry Barrique and bottled at a bold 57.9% abv, with just 301 bottles available. The name was chosen by German whisky enthusiasts, and the label captures the adventurous spirit inspired by their choice, making this release one of a kind!

NEW ADDITION TO THE FAMILY: RumRogues!

With the second batch, WhiskyHeroes expands beyond whisky, bringing to the forefront bold and captivating rums - RumRogue! These handpicked, single-barrel bottlings come from artisan distilleries from around the world. Each rum in the RumRogue series aims to continue sharing WhiskyHeroes’ passion for bold and adventurous spirits. Meet the first two RumRogue releases:

“In the Stranglehold” is a 15 year old Belizean Rum from Travellers distillery. It was matured in a charred White Oak Barrel. Bottled at a mighty 56.1% abv, this rum showcases deep, complex flavours and rich intensity. With only 260 bottles available, it's a powerful addition to the WhiskyHeroes collection.

“Swashbucklers at the Gold Coast” -  16-year-old Australian Rum that has been aged for 10 years in a 1st Fill Bourbon Cask before being transferred to another 1st Fill Bourbon Cask for further maturation. Bottled at 55.3% abv, this unique rum is limited to 317 bottles and offers an adventurous, full-bodied experience.
