The World Whiskies Awards is a landmark event in the spirits industry, eagerly anticipated by whisky enthusiasts, industry experts, and connoisseurs alike. This prestigious competition celebrates the creativity, craftsmanship, and dedication that go into producing the world’s finest whiskies. Each year, it offers a platform to honour outstanding achievements and innovation in whisky production from across the globe.
The 2025 edition of the World Whiskies Awards Scotland took place at the historic Signet Library in Edinburgh, an elegant venue befitting such a momentous occasion. In addition to announcing the award-winning whiskies of the year, the evening celebrated the Icons of Whisky Scotland and saw a variety of new faces taking the icons spotlight this year.
Among the evening’s highlights for us was the success of several of our products. Paul Dempsey, Brave New Spirits’ Sales and Marketing Director, proudly accepted the awards, which reflected the team's dedication and passion for their products. The recognized whiskies and awards included:

Additionally, Brave New Spirits earned a “Highly Commended” distinction in the Independent Bottler Category, underscoring Brave New Spirits’ reputation for quality and innovation.
The event wasn’t just about accolades—it was a celebration of the whisky community. Guests explored unique flavours, shared insights into distilling techniques, and deepened their appreciation for diverse whisky styles. These gatherings serve as a vital platform for exchanging knowledge, fostering collaboration, and building camaraderie among whisky makers and enthusiasts.

The World Whiskies Awards is a highly anticipated event in the spirit industry. Paul Dempsey from Brave New Spirits Ltd. had the privilege to attend two wonderful evenings organized by the Whisky Magazine and collect a couple of meaningful awards for our amazing spirits.

The Badger Clan goes to Southport
Southport Whisky Club is a group of friends and whisky enthusiasts founded in 2016 and has now grown to over 300 members. They travel far and wide, in Scotland mainly to seek out whiskies that they love. The club hosts an annual whisky festival in Southport, a seaside town in Merseyside, England.

Honoured and Humbled: our Spirits Recognized at the People’s Choice Spirits Awards 2025
Drinks should be judged by the people who drink them—that’s what makes the People’s Choice Drinks Awards so special. This year, our WhiskyHeroes and RumRogues bottlings took home three medals, including our first-ever rum award.
