Smoky Whisky Sour

Bold, smoky, and perfectly balanced—this Peated Lighthouse Sour brings a rich depth to a citrusy classic.

The Whisky Sour is a timeless cocktail, loved for its perfect balance of sweet, sour, and smooth. This version, made with Lighthouse peated whisky, adds a subtle smokiness that deepens the flavour while maintaining its refreshing citrus kick.

Ingredients

  • 60ml (2oz) Lighthouse (peated) whisky
  • 20ml (0.75oz) fresh lemon juice
  • 15ml (0.5oz) simple syrup
  • Egg white (optional)
  • Lemon twist or cherry (for garnish)

Method

  1. Add whisky, lemon juice, simple syrup, and egg white (if using) to a shaker without ice
  2. Dry shake (shake without ice) for about 15 seconds.
  3. Add ice and shake vigorously
  4. Strain into a chilled coupe or sour glass
  5. Garnish with a lemon twist or cherry
